Less is more, More is less

What is Less is more and more is less? There are some general thoughts that it is import to inject simplicity into your design or anything. If you are trying to make it complicated, you will just mess up everything of your work.
That's the reason you have to know what is "less is more and more is less".

Based on my understanding, less is more means simplicity, just keep everything as simple as possible. For instance, as a designer, you should know simplicity is the best for the design. Do not add too many unnecessary things in your design, it might only distract the audiences.Besides composition, should concern of the color we used also. For example, do not put black color font on the dark color design. People hardly to see the words. Therefore, should only focus on the layout composition and the color we used.

On the other hand, "More is less" meaning if we add too many elements on the design and too much information and details will only causes people confusing. For example, a very colorful and bright color of a poster will distract people's eyes, they will only see it for a few seconds, after that will not focus anymore. In a conclusion, simplicity is the best for designers.
